Four Skipjack During Six Hours of Cabo Fishing
Skipjack provided all of the recorded fishing action during this charter.
These streamlined members of the tuna family are strong swimmers and can provide an energetic fight on rod and reel. Their size can sometimes lead anglers to underestimate them, but once hooked, skipjack are capable of fast runs and sustained pressure.
Four fish gave the six-person group multiple opportunities during their morning aboard Blue Water.
A six-hour charter provides more fishing time than a short outing while still allowing guests to return around midday. The available time also gives the crew flexibility to search while accounting for the travel required both away from and back toward Cabo San Lucas.
Every offshore charter develops differently. Some days produce several species, while other trips become focused around one fish.
November 29 was a skipjack day.
