Fishing Report Begins With an Upgrade to Blue Water
D’Ann's group had originally been scheduled on Blue Star before upgrading to the 35' Riviera Blue Water.
For four guests, the larger Riviera provided additional room while maintaining the private-charter experience.
The boat departed at 6:30 AM.
With a scheduled return at 11:30 AM, the crew had five hours to travel, search, fish and return to F Dock.
That makes efficient use of the available morning important.
On this trip, the result was two marlin.
Cabo Fishing Produces Two Billfish Encounters
Catching one marlin can become the defining moment of a Cabo vacation.
D’Ann's group experienced two.
Each hookup begins a separate sequence aboard the boat.
The crew manages the tackle and positions the vessel while the angler concentrates on maintaining pressure during the fight.
For the other guests, watching a marlin encounter unfold at close range can be nearly as memorable as taking the rod.
Once the first fish was handled and released, the fishing continued.
A second marlin provided another opportunity before the charter ended.
Fishing Report Conditions Document the Morning
Historical weather information adds useful context to older charter reports.
Air temperature around the morning departure was approximately 80°F and climbed toward approximately 84°F as the charter progressed.
Cabo-area water temperature was around 79°F, while morning winds were approximately 9–12 mph.
The moon was a waning gibbous with roughly 78% illumination.
Those statistics describe the environment, but they do not explain the catch by themselves.
Successful offshore fishing still requires crews to search and react to bait, current, water conditions, birds and gamefish activity.
On July 7, those efforts produced two marlin opportunities within the group's five-hour trip.
Cabo Report Records Two Responsible Marlin Releases
Blue Sky Cabo is a marlin and billfish release company.
Both marlin were released.
Anglers who want a trophy do not need to retain a billfish. Accurate measurements and photographs can be used to create a fiberglass replica representing the fish's dimensions and appearance.
That allows the guest to preserve the accomplishment while the actual marlin returns to the ocean.
Fishing Report Shows the Value of Five Hours
Blue Sky Cabo offers private five-, six-, eight- and ten-hour charter options.
Longer trips provide additional range and searching time, but a five-hour trip can be an attractive option for visitors who want a genuine Cabo fishing experience without spending the entire day offshore.
D’Ann's group provides a good example.
Four guests left F Dock at 6:30 AM.
Five hours later, they returned after two marlin encounters and two successful releases.
Current Blue Sky Cabo charters include fishing licenses, live bait and fishing equipment.
Cabo Fishing Connects Houston With Blue Water
Historical reports help connect real guests and their home cities with actual days on the water.
For this July 7 charter, the main city was Houston, Texas.
D’Ann's group upgraded to the 35' Riviera Blue Water, spent five private hours on the water and returned with a memorable story.
Four guests.
Five hours.
Two marlin.
Two releases.
D’Ann's four-person Houston group completed its five-hour private charter aboard the 35' Riviera Blue Water with two marlin caught and both released.
