Cabo Fishing Report Follows the Offshore Tuna Search
This was a day where the eight-hour charter window mattered.
Tuna can move considerable distances while following bait and productive water, so finding them may require patience and continued searching.
Ryan, Cristie, Gavin, Noah and Auna had the advantage of a full day aboard Blue Water.
The 6:00 AM departure put the group on the water early, while the 2:00 PM return allowed the crew to continue working offshore conditions well beyond the shorter morning-charter window.
August water around Cabo was in the warm summer range, approximately 84–86°F.
The fishing did not develop into a high-volume bite, but the group eventually connected with the species they encountered offshore.
Cabo Charter Fish Fight Comes From a Tuna
The tuna delivered the day's standout fight.
Tuna fight differently from many other species encountered around Cabo. Rather than relying on repeated jumps, they use their powerful bodies below the surface.
The initial run can remove line quickly. Later in the fight, tuna often work deeper and circle beneath the boat, requiring the angler to maintain pressure while gradually gaining line.
That physical style of fight makes a single tuna a meaningful catch.
For this five-person group, the August 22 trip demonstrated the unpredictable nature of offshore fishing.
Some days produce multiple hookups quickly. Other days require a captain and crew to search for hours to create one good opportunity.
Ryan's group stayed aboard for the complete eight-hour fishing window and came away with one tuna.
Five lunches were included for the anglers, allowing the group to remain comfortable throughout the full day.
The final numbers were simple, but the fishing story was genuine: five anglers, eight hours offshore and one hard-earned tuna aboard the 35' Riviera Blue Water.
