Trip Summary

Lake Travis is starting to fill quickly with all the rain we have been having as of late. The conditions are improving and the Largemouth bite is great! Early in the morning, under overcast sky's, I could see bass roaming shorelines next to docks. Their proximity to docks is certain and can be replicated across the lake. As the sun breaks through, they will start moving underneath the docks where they will localize for most of the day. My best docks are located in 8-15 ft zones with access to deeper water nearby. Pitching to these docks from a good distance is key. Lake Travis has great water visibility, so spooking fish is very easy. Using natural colored 1/4-1/2 oz finesse jigs brought be the best success with catching the better fish hanging out under these docks. A great option to catch many many fish is tossing a natural colored drop shot rig near the backs of the docks. This bite should be on fire for a limited amount of time, so get on out there or book a trip with me quickly and I'll put you on em'.
