While the 2022 fishing year has been great the month of december was incedible for fishing. This past week we have seen massive volumes of fish. I actually havent seen schools this big since spring but this is very typical of striped bass and white bass in winter to gather in large schools. We have been able to spot lock on these big schools and vertical jig chrome spoons and swimbaits to these hungry fish. It has not been uncommon to catch 50-100+ fish on both morning and afternoon trips. While some days may be colder there is still plenty of days of great weather and fantastic fishing. We have been using a wide varitey of techniques including jigging, trolling flies, and alabama rigs. Now is the perfect time to get out on the water. Weekend trips are most popular and this part of year sometimes you have the entire lake to yourself ! Thank you to everyone that came fishing this year !
