Every day that the water warms up different species begin to show up that haven’t been here since last year right now the Spanish Makeral, Bluefish, Whiting, Pompano, Black drum, Sheepshead and Redfish are all biting around the jetties and near shore areas. The cooler late winter early spring brings great opportunities to anglers looking to take home some great eating and fun fighting fish! The beeliners triggerfish sea bass and mutton snapper are all chewing offshore not to mention the wahoo are starting to pick up! It is a great time for high speed wahoo fishing or deep water bottom fishing!

The inshore fishing at the mayport jetties has been red hot this past week. We have been catching plentiful amounts of Sheepshead,Black drum, Spanish Makeral and Redfish.
