Trip Summary
June is the best month to catch a permit on the Treasure Coast of Florida. You can find them off of the beach and around sandy cuts in the Indian River and near inlets. Live shrimp and crabs work great.
The snook can be found heading towards the inlets to spawn this month. They are hungry and will eat just about any live bait.
Night time is the right time to catch snook with flair hawk jigs around lights.
The key to June fishing is to fish shallow early and deep later. Water temps will get hot quickly on sunny days.
The tarpon bite is hot in June. Target these fish early in the morning with live bait and 3 to 5 inch paddle tails.
Trout redfish and snook can be found around the docks during the higher parts of the tide. Pitch weedless soft plastics 3 to 5 inches.
Tight Lines.
