Weare in full swing-on our jigging trips on lake Champlain and there’s no better time to experience the fight these fish have coming up from the deep water! Although trolling is extremely productive in the spring and the early summer these trout go deep once the water warms. Thus making it prime for jigging! Jigging for lake trout is one of my favorite ways to target these beautiful fish and the bite has been hot!. we’ve been busy the last few weeks! Just got the new boat back which is full of room and extremely comfortable for groups to fish out of. This past month has been killer fishing here on Champlain with most trips averaging 20 fish boated in 5 hoir trip! This time of hear were seeing mainly lake trout with salmon in the mix but were oulling up some dandys! Fishing is expected to stay action packed through June until water temps turn over and best fishing switches to jigging.

Water temps dropped with local rains making todays trip mostly top water, lots of fish on the fly rods and planer boards made for a great trip for this local group! Even hooked up on a giant pike in 400FOW as an unexpected prize!
