After a great start to the Lake Ontario season with brown trout and lake trout being the primary catch out of Point Breeze this year, Mother Nature has given us unfavorable east winds and cold weather week after week delaying our sprimg salmon activity. We finally got some west winds so I decided to go for a short scout to see what it’s looking like. Good green water has blown down from the mighty Niagara River and brought fish, bait, and decent temperature with it. Bite was not heavy yet but we saw and heard of king salmon, coho, steelhead, Atlantic salmon, and lake trout. It’s only getting better from here!
