We had a great morning out! The boat and equipment were in good shape. captain was great, very knowledgable, knew his stuff and put us on the fish quickly! He is a great fella, a really nice guy!! We caught a few barracuda, 2 lemon sharks and a nurse shark that were all good size. And we caught a ton mangrove snapper that we had fixed up for us at a local restaurant that evening for dinner! Highly recommend Nice Guy Charters!
Thanks for the review. Glad you guys had fun!
Terrific half day backcountry fishing trip with me, my wife, my boys and my parents. We caught mangrove snapper, lane snapper, blue striped grunt and ballyhoo. At one point we anchored above a family of about eight huge stingrays. We had a couple of sharks drop by, and almost caught a nurse. Captain Jeff took us by an island beach where we hopped in to cool off and our boys snorkelled among the mangroves. Great day all around. A+.
It was a fun morning! Got to love looking over the side in the clear water this time of year!
We went out regardless of the weather cause weโre from Pa and donโt get spooked by a little 5-6 ft wave in a 23โ boat. Wednesday Started in the gulf side, caught a bunch of grunts . Went out into the Atlantic and caught a few keepers, yellowtail and lane snapper. 20 mph wind gusts 15 pretty steady. Saturday went out to dead calm right into the Atlantic, out to the reef. Got six keepers yellowtail. Perfect weather that day. Nice Ride. Bottom line about Jeff: Not very organized, underestimated our abilities even though I made it clear prior to ever getting on the boat that we were seasoned sea and fresh water fishermen Took us searching for his bait traps to start the trip and didnโt find them so we had zero live bait first day. Had to go find them 2nd trip and got a few little pin fish. Otherwise bait was old frozen shrimp and a frozen false albacore chunked. Needed to have spent some money on live bait. Obviously ADHD. Boat has gear everywhere, no storage space for even a small backpack we brought, good thing it was a waterproof cooler pack. Doesnโt take care of his equipment well, salt water is very caustic and thereโs rusty tackle in every bin and locker. For the $fourteen hundred we spent it should have been a better kept, better organized trip and vessel. Jeff knows how to fish and run the boat but some people shouldnโt try to run their own business. He would make an excellent first mate.

Thursday the ocean looked like milk and we came in early because you got seasick and there was a looming cloud. We can thank hurricane Nicole for that. I couldnโt really cancel the trip because you guys were on your way down to go fishing and wouldโve had to turn around halfway to KW. Saturday I wanted to stay longer than 4 hours to make up for the first day because but you wanted to leave at 10am and I had afternoon charter that booked last minute. We were getting big yellowtails but not enough to make up for the first day There is storage under the console and the leaning post. Not sure why we didnโt put your bag under there Thanks for the heads up about the rusty hooks. Itโs been a super slow slow season so I havenโt been on the boat in a week. No one wants to see that when theyโre paying good money. And I havenโt been checking my bait traps as often. I was a bit stressed because I wanted you guys to have a good time. Iโm bummed you didnโt leave happy

Even though it was blowing more than expected, we had a great day with Captain Jeff
Thanks Gary! Youโll have to come back when thereโs less wind!
Captain Jeff was a top notch guide. Caught a lot fish at most of the spots he put us on. Heโs got a nice boat with lots of room and seating ,nice dry ride. Will definitely use him again in the near future. Thanks Jeff for a truly wonderful experience.
Your welcome brutha!
