Hello William, thank you for reviewing us! I am sorry if we disappoint you but yes we don’t force our boat especially in the reef zone due to the narrow passage. The boat that you have seen yesterday- it was a boat from the fishing tournament, they do fishing differently then we.  Fishing boats you have seen many times, we all were going pretty much in the same points. First Mate worked non stop, speed were normal 5-7, depending on the Cap. We caught fish for you including trophy size mahi bull although.. But I would agree with you if you was looking for Safari running-fishing you should of look for another type of the trip (extended professional price more than 1000$) and of course find out from the fishing provider what type of equipment they use. We use Shimano tld 50/30/25 and Penn Senator (we don’t hide this info from our clients) and this reels is more then good working for us, BUT I do know that some boats like Dulce Coco use more expensive equipment (but again the price of their trips is double of what you did pay).
