Captain Dayron put us on the hot spots time and time again.  The tide was heading out so we decided to fish for some snook to get the afternoon started. Although we could see groups of them hanging out under the Mangrove trees, they just weren’t biting.  Just before leaving for a new spot, my daughter hooked a good sized catfish, the first fish of the day! At the next spot, we started fishing for mangrove snapper. We were instantly getting hits and pulling in keepers. While there, we were fortunate enough to have a pair of manatees come hang out with us for a while and a dolphin even came swimming by as well.  After catching our limit of snapper, a few lady fish and another catfish; we decided to try some more sport fishing for snook. Unfortunately, there were dozens of gulls which kept trying to steal out bait at the second snook spot. So, we headed to a different spot and switched to fishing for shark. I reeled in two young black tips and my daughter also reeled in one. When we got back to the dock, Captain Dayron quickly filleted our snappers, which we took back and made into delicious fish tacos. Captain Dayron was really accommodating from our first contact. He was up to date with which areas were fishing well and was able to advise on the best pick up venue to maximise our fishing time.
We were on the fish as soon as we started casting & once we’d caught enough snapper for dinner he moved us onto snook for a better fight.
Captain Dayron was really knowledgable and friendly- he was wonderful with our 16 yr old son who wanted to catch a shark- he tried everything and involved our son in all the tactics - sadly the shark refused to bite but it wasn’t through lack of trying, we even stayed out longer than booked as he tried to get a shark.
We caught mangrove snapper, snook, trout, jack treval, catfish, lady fish and blue runner.

BEST CAPTAIN AROUND. I caught so many fish my shoulder was hurting. 40+ pound tarpon, 10+ lb jack, more ladyfish than I could count, some really nice Spanish Mackerel, even a couple bluefish. We even had a dolphin swim up to the boat and we were hand feeding it threadfin bait fish. Best day on the water I’ve ever had, all thanks to Captain Dayron. He’s a cool dude who loves to see people catch fish and have a good time. His boat is awesome, we were flying across the bay in some pretty skinny water and it didnt feel dangerous at all. From all the lines on his GPS tracking where he’d been, I could certainly tell he knew what he was doing! This guy is the real deal, if you want to catch big tarpon, call Captain Dayron. Captain Dayron is an amazing guide. From the top of the line boat, to the top of the line tackle, to his ability to find the best bait available, he provides an experience second to none. I told him I wanted to catch a once-in-a-lifetime fish to show all my buddies back home and he did not disappoint with not one, not two, but THREE tarpon, with one being 150+ lbs. There were 20 other boats where we were fishing but we were one of the only ones to land a fish, not because we were lucky but because we had the best Captain who had better baits and knew where to put them. Hands down, best Captain fishing the Pine Island Sound, Charlotte Harbor, Sanibel areas. Great personality, very patient even with relatively new fishermen like myself, who never fished this area, to catching giant tarpon in a day.

Dayron was great with the kids.  Hooking the bait and casting for them and by the end of it they were doing their own bait and casting.  Had a ton of fresh bait that we did our best to use up.  We were getting hit constantly.  Got us into a great calm spot on a crazy windy day.  We got snook, redfish, and enough snapper for dinner.  Plus several more just a bit too small to keep.  And we left behind a ton more snook churning up the water.  Caught a great sunset on the ride back.  He filleted up the snapper and we brought it to a local restaurant and they cooked it up for us.  Awesome day.  You can tell Dayon really enjoys what he does and he does his best to make sure you enjoy the day too.
