We caught about 40 fish in 1.5 hours.  My kids 5 and 10 years old loved it.  Cpt. John and his First Mate (wife) were great hosts and knew what they were doing and where the fish were.  The other boats around us were not catching nearly as many as we were.  I sent photos to you in the email yesterday.

The boat and the captain were both great.  We did expect to go out a little farther and to be able to catch some nice fish.  But fishing is like a lot of other things, it is sometimes good and sometimes bad.  Maybe next time.

Capt. Jonathan was terrific. Very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. And that’s putting you on the fish. From the very first cast we had fish on. I caught a nice 25” red fish on my last cast! What a way to end a great fishing trip!

The rating reflects not only my lack of knowledge of what to ask about fishing at sea, but also booking a trip during high volume fishing time. 
Ask:  How far out to sea will we go? (We did not go very far out to sea—I was thinking more  
          deep sea fishing)
      How many seats are available for my party to sit on?  (Their were 2 seats for 5
          people during our 5 hour trip, also the boat depicted on fishingbrookers’ website is not
          the one we went out on)
I understand when a crew is short-handed, however, the customer should be kept in the loop.  Captain Mike did the best he could on the notice (I gather) that he had.  We were asked to show up to Pier C at 0645hrs, call him, and he would have us picked up by golf cart.  We shipped off a little later than expected 0710, not too big of a deal.  (Advice for the crew, call the customer and let them know it’s going to be a little later than stated, I would of been okay with that.)  After seeing the types and sizes of the fish through their website, it was kinda of a downer to catch the small fish that we did (once again, it could of been the time of year, and they can’t control the fish in the sea).  I do have to say, the variety of the few fish we did catch was surprising.  I have only catch freshwater fish.  We caught a lady fish, black drum, speckled trout, catfish, stingray, and a croaker.

Captain Jonathan made our 1st experience awesome!  He’s very helpful & outgoing !! The first I always look at when I go anywhere is customer service and that something that he had.. we are definitely going back!!
