This captain knows this area very well after 15 years chartering. Gets you on fish and has a great way about him. I love fishing and so does he. Taught me a lot and caught a bunch of fish in chilly weather. My girlfriend and I had good time and when we come back to this area we will get with him again!

Managed to book a trip last minute for my buddy and I, and had a great time. Capt. Roy was a pleasure to fish with, got us on plenty of fish, and joined right in with my buddy and I’s fun-spirited trash talking. Not sure when I’ll be back in the bay, but will definitely be fishing with Roy again.

I have hired fishing guides all over the USA and Captain Roy is on the top of the list. He grew up in these waters, and knows where the fish are. Roy isn’t a seasonal guide from another state. He fishes these waters Year round so he puts you on fish! I usually see him a couple times a year with friends and haven’t been disappointed. Besides all the fish, he is hilarious and will have you laughing at jokes and stories. Thank you!

A great days sport was had by all from the start to the very last cast. Capt. Roy put us on the fish at the outset with a 30” redfish followed by a variety of catfish, red fish, jacks, mackerel,  trout and blue fish.
When the fish moved on so did we and at each location we caught fish. Roy was very welcoming from the first minute we met him and being fairly experienced anglers ourselves from the UK we had lots to chat about during what was a hectic days fishing. Fishing on light gear for big fish has to be tried and when you hook into something big you feel every twist, turn &  run the fish makes and provides you with an exciting experience with Roy giving you encouragement and advice along the way. Roy tried his best to get us into some snooks but on the day they just weren’t biting and so we missed out - maybe next time. For UK and Irish anglers looking for something slightly different this is definitely worth a try, even going from mark to mark at speed on a small boat with Roy commentating as you zip along provides some light , yet brief, relief from the constant baiting up, casting, un hooking etc. We were catching fish a such a pace we only took a few photos!

Would we do it again- definitely.
