We had a 6 hour trip scheduled with Captain Josh but the weather was not promising. The captain asked if we’d like to push back a couple hours to allow storms to pass and we did. However, the weather was not cooperating and asked if we’d like to reschedule our trip if we had availability 2 days later. It was completely up to us but we trusted his judgement and agreed. The weather was perfect and it turned out beautiful day! Our kids had fun and so did we! We maxed out on Red Snapper and released a lot back. We also encountered a huge school of Mahi Mahi and it was amazing to see. They were small but we did keep 3. We also brought back a few Black Snappers. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Will definitely do this again with Captain Josh next time we go to Destin. Captain Josh made sure we were all comfortable, was fun to be with, was very knowledgeable, and put us right on the fish!

Captain Josh provided a most exceptional charter for our group. The boat was perfect, and he put us on the fish! We targeted mingo snappers and caught a mess of them. Lots of other exciting fish were caught too from amberjack to grouper. We finished the day snagging a huge King Mackerel!

My two boys (7 & 9) had never been on a deep sea charter before, but Captain Josh did a great job making them comfortable and helping them throughout the day. They learned a lot and said it was the best fishing they’ve ever done.

Great trip w my three kids and family friend. Captain contacted me day prior to trip to confirm expectations and concerns about possible weather. Suggested we push start back 1hour to get forecast update from other boats leaving at 5am. We got off ontime at 7am no weather issues, we stayed within sight of coastline which I wanted because my kids sometimes get motion sickness, we deep sea or bay fish in Destination for the the last 9 years! Capt was prep and ready, greeted everyone and went of some boating safety tips! We caught 20 keeps of mangrove snappers and some chocolate porgy. Capt keep us on fish and moved us quickly when bites slowed! Overall great trip, eating will be nice for Father’s Day when we get back to Madison, Alabama!

Even though fishing in the area over the past few weeks had not been very good, Captain Josh managed to locate some pretty good spots where we caught several red and vermillion snapper.  Everything went as advertised, and it was overall a great experience.

We headed out uncertain of the weather but Captain Josh got us on some fish! We trolled for a little bit then got to bottom fishing. My son and father had a great time, too! Josh was communicative before the trip and throughout. Hoping I’ll be back fishing with Just Reel soon!
