The fishing charter we booked with Captain Josh - “Just Reel” was a memorable experience.  Started out in the morning and headed east.  Caught a few snappers (Red and Black) until the weather threaten us.  Josh moved us back towards the Destin Pass and was gracious enough to ask if we were free to continue in the afternoon.  When we got to the Pass, weather cleared but half the charter fleet was in and we headed west.  Josh apologized for the “boat ride” but reminded us we were there to fish, and fish we did.  My son Sean hit it big on the west side maxing out on snapper and a really nice sized grouper.  Josh extended our trip an hour for the inconvenience of the weather and we took full advantage.  Josh is a terrific captain and his aim is fishing and to put his customers on the fish, and that he did.  WE WILL BE BACK TO FISH with JUST REEL and Captain Josh (and his son).

Captain Josh on the Just Reel was awesome. It was my two boys (9 & 7) first time saltwater fishing and they had an amazing time. The Captain got on the fish quick and let the boys catch several King Mackerel and then gave them the option to fish for King Mackerel or fish for Shark.  The boys definitely wanted to catch a shark and he didn’t let them down. I had a blast watching them catching fish. Captain Josh was not only a great boat Captain but a very good guy and worked hard to put the boys on the fish. I most definitely recommend Just Reel. We look forward to fishing with him again next time we are in Destin.

Booked a three hour trip with Captain Josh since this was my wife, oldest daughter, and youngest sons first trip.  I liked the fact that Captain Josh grew up here and was very familiar with the area and that he is located at East Pass Marina which gets you out to the fishing fast. He called the day prior to the trip and gave us a great fishing report along with happily answering all our questions.  Once on the water he worked his tail off for us to make sure everyone had a great experience and no one came in empty. He was very patient and took the time to make sure not just the adults were attended too but that my 7yr old was just as much of the trip who ended up catching the biggest King Mackerel.  Once back at the marina Captain Josh did a great job cleaning the catch and even gave us a tip on taking some to a local restaurant the Big Red grill and bar who cooked us up the best fish tacos I’ve ever had.
We have been coming here the last 5 years and this was the best fishing trip bar none. Give Just Reel with Captain Josh a call you won’t regret it! We will be using the Just Reel with Captain Josh for all our fishing charters.
