Super fun trip! First we went to catch our bait fish, snagged about a dozen fish or so. Then we moved on to go for some big ones! We caught an assortment but no bull shark like we were hoping for. However, this was not from a lack of effort on the captains part he did a fantastic job of trying different spots and switching up our bait options etc. We would highly recommend him!!!!

My son was excited to do a fishing charter as we were visiting from Washington state. He caught a nice brown speckled trout. Then caught several large catfish which we released. He also hooked three alligator gar that we couldn’t net and I had a shark eating my bait, but couldn’t set the hook fast enough. All in all a fun day and memories made.

This was a well deserved trip among 3 brothers from different Mother’s. When we all get together, you can’t tell.We have different Mother’s because we laugh.We ride each other to the end. Captain Mackie was excellent.He showed us some tricks. His casting skills are amazing. He was very friendly.And conversated with us about anything and everything we had our laughs. He taught us about the stingray that we had to release . I’m definitely coming back and the redfish are mainly in season... More

Enjoyed our afternoon with Captain Mackie. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We caught lots of catfish which he cleaned before dropping us off directly at the blue crab.

Captain Mackie was awesome! We had a group of 6 guys and we all had an absolute blast. Captain Mackie was so accommodating and put us on a ton of fish with lots of variety! He is extremely knowledgeable and was willing to answer any and all questions we had. Felt like he was part of the group and not just our charter captain! I would absolutely recommend Captain Mackie to anyone looking for a great fishing experience in the New Orleans area!
