It was great to learn from Captain Dave about the fishery in the local area. I grew up an hour north of here and then moved out of state never once targeted Peacock Bass even though they have been around some 30 + years. Met up with the Captain easy to find nice location. He has a nice clean boat and good equipment. This particular day was spectacular in every way. Perfect weather and conditions, and Captain Dave had us catching fish very early into the trip and consistently until the end of the charter. We caught 3 species of fish Peacock Bass, Largemouth Bass and a Mayan Cichlid. The Peacock Bass are the star of the show strong fighters and so beautiful to see up close before releasing them back to their home. Captain Dave is a true professional and I would reccomend this trip to anyone.

We booked with Captain Dave to go on an afternoon charter for Peacock Bass with our two kids, (9 and 7).  Captain Dave made sure they caught fish and had fun.  He also gave them a goodie bag at the end of the trip which was unexpected.  We had a great time with Captain Dave and highly recommend chartering with him.  We will book with him again in the future when we are back in the area.

My 13 YO son wanted to fish but we had time constraints so booking a 2 hour trip was an ideal option for us.  Really nice boat and we fished in the canals.
My son caught a few fish and a large mouthed bass.  I tagged along for the ride and it was really scenic.  Highly recommend for anyone who wants a relaxed time.

We have been deep sea fishing and my boys wanted to try inshore this year. They are 7 & 9 and Capt. Dave is amazing. My youngest got off the boat and said he was going to miss Capt. Dave. If you want a trip for a family with kids Capt. Dave is hands down the best. We will definitely booked another fishing trip.

I just arrived home from a sunset charter with Building Up Sports Academy. My 21 y/o son and I were greeted by Captain Dave at the dock and welcomed aboard his modern, clean, center console bay boat.  During a short trip into the fresh water canals of West Palm Beach, Captain Dave explained what we could expect from this fishing trip.  To say he has local knowledge would be an understatement.  Our first stop produced a nice size peacock bass, a large mouth bass and two other fresh water cichlids. We traveled deeper into the canals and with each move we continued catching fish.  While casting live bait into the bulkheads that lined the canals, my son landed a trophy sized 5+ pound large mouth bass. Giving us another great photo opportunity prior to releasing.  A few more moves and I lost track of the number of fish caught and our last stop ended at sunset with one last big peacock bass.
My son and I are experienced north east saltwater fisherman and would like to thank Captain Dave for showing us what fresh water Florida fishing is all about.
Building Up Sports Academy is a charter I highly recommend.
