It has taken me a few weeks to write this review because I wanted to get the review precise to our experience. We booked this for a cruise port day then the cruise got moved.  Captain Jamie was flexible to change our date. His communication was great leading up to the trip, or so I thought.  We were in port in Cabo, this trip was for my husband’s 50th birthday bucket list experience. The problem is he was in San Jose and instead of explaining to me he was at a different location that would be an expensive taxi or just saying wasn’t in the area and suggesting I find someone else he booked us.  Here is where it gets so frustrating!
The day we were to meet the only info I had was an email for his other location I had to ask multiple times where to meet and to clarify time I had limited cell service that I had to pay extra for just to call him and describe our clothes so they could find us.
We had to buy a license but the place was not open so they had to spend extra time to find another place and more expensive than their website said.
We knew he had to buy $20 bait but then they barely used it and used mostly artificial jigs.
It said snacks and drinks were included but there was nothing offered and the captain told him at the store if he wanted a lunch etc he had to buy it on his own.
Our biggest issue was it was a completely different captain than we thought we were getting.  Since he was “helping” us on money to not go to his other dock he sent over another captain. The captain did not speak English so he could not give instructions and my husband could not ask any questions or engage while they were fishing and it was also a huge safety issue if something had happened on the boat. Overall it was just a giant mess and I hated it for my husband. The only positive was he allowed me to pay after the trip due to my card not working in Mexico. He offered a trip the next time we were there but it is not likely we will ever be in Cabo again so we just really missed out on a great and honest experience.
