Had a great time and caught a few fish.

Had a nice size bluefin that got off and the captain seemed mad after for some reason. It was only 11:45 and paid for a full day and while others were out we slowly trolled back to the port for two hours. Thought that was kinda funky. Would have rather fished for bottom fish or something for that hour or so prior to going back.

Think I got over charged too I paid $75 upfront to hold then with two fishing licenses and the remaining $225 I had to pay $295…math don’t add up. Plus another $35 for bait and tips which was expected.

Overall all fun trip would definitely go again and would recommend. I would rather pay the site upfront next time personally.

Had a great day with captain Ruben , he worked hard changing things up to get us on the fish ….. trolling lures , fresh ballyhoo and live bait . Was very patient with my 9 year old who also had a great time and stayed entertained for a full 8 hours . Let us work the rods and lures etc so we were actually involved in the fishing . Had the fish cleaned back at the dock , picked up some local produce on the way back to our hotel and made awesome ceviche .

Fishing with Daliken was great, the owner offered to give us a ride for free from our hotel to the pier since he was in the area, we talked about fishing all the way there, we bought some live bait to improve our chances and we were set!

Now on the water we got a pretty slow day of fishing, we tried using live bait, dead bait, trolling and my girlfriend got a needlefish early in the morning, however for the next 3-4 hours nothing was biting, not even for the other boats that were near the area!

HOWEVER during those 3-4 hours the scenery was beautiful, the water was calm and we got to see the ecosystem in action, we saw 3 MARLINS! i dont know if it was the same one again and again but a boat near us hooked one and we saw it jumping around all crazy, it was awesome just to see that action, sadly it broke their line and scaped, but an hour later they hooked another one! wich also scaped, during this time we saw a pair of whales, a mother and a calf, they swam pretty close to us as you can see in the video, all of this made the trip very very memorable!

On the last 2 or so hours of the trip we were heading back when the captain spotted a bunch of mackarel jumping and going crazy, it was a feeding frenzy! we set the lines and casted away, we managed to hook 3 bull jacks/Jurel toro, 1 broke our line and we managed to get 2 in the boat, they fight like real bulls indeed, but i soon learned that their meat is very hard to prepare for eating! that fight was exactly what i needed to end the day on a high note, and the captain allowed me to drive the boat back to the shore! in general our captain wasn’t that talkative but he didnt need to since he got us where the action was at!

It was a slow day of fishing, but one of the most memorable trips i’ve had 5/5!

  Captain was awesome! Very experienced, helpful, great sense of humor and was super at keeping the bait fresh.  Would return to fish with them again.  We caught Skipjack, grouper, Dorado, snapper, ladyfish etc. fantastic trip. Kudos for sure!

Trip started as soon as we got there, early, and went longer than expected! Super great time, captain got us on the fish and kept us on the fish! English wasn’t great but hey I’m in another country, between my broken Spanish and his broken English and google translate we made it work! They made sure that my 16 and 10 year old boys had a great time. Highly recommend Daliken Fishing!
