Really disappointed with our experience.ย We knew that there is no guarantee that we would catch anything so the fact that we didnโt catch anything is disappointing but understandable.ย However, we never even touched any fishing gear and were not provided an opportunity to eat the lunch that we paid extra money for.ย The boat never stopped and was moving at such a speed that we had to hold on and werenโt able to attempt to eat the sandwiches provided.

Thank you for your feedback. I am very sorry and disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy your trip with Coconut Reef Fishing. I was not on the boat on the day in question but I have interviewed the crew. Unfortunately, the weather on the day of your trip was a little rougher than expected. The conditions called for trolling, rather than bottom-fishing where we could put rod and reel in your hands. Please forgive my crew if they did not allow you to be a little more hands-on with the gear. There is always a balance we have to find when trolling in rough conditions - allowing guests to work the reels, safely or leaving it up to the crew. If we erred on the side of safety then please forgive us.
You were not charged for the lunch. It is usually collected as part of the final balance but in your case, it was left off the final balance. Most of the trip was conducted at a slow trolling speed of around 8 knots, still, even had you wanted the boat to stop while you had lunch, you had but to ask the captain. Even had we have been drifting though, you still would have had to be holding on under the conditions of the day.
Nevertheless, we do appreciate your feedback and will endeavor to make improvements to our service where we can.
