Capt Kris helped out his brother Capt Mike who was not available.  Capt Kris is a great guide.  He’s very knowledgeable about fishing in the area.  He put me on redfish right away with nonstop action!  Caught limits and learned a ton about Lake Ponchatrain.  See you again next year!

Great experience with an even greater guy. There’s almost not enough nice things to say.

My gf and I flew in from Tampa a few days ago after a 3 hour delay and after Southwest Airlines lost my luggage with not just all my stuff, but also all of our fishing gear/winter clothes for the trip.

Capt Mike was responsive to my situation the whole time. He got us warm clothes to wear, hooked us up with a friendly and affordable driver for the weekend, and gave us some small coolers to check our fresh catch on the plane; hopefully SW doesn’t lose it.

Mike put us on all the redfish that I asked for and made us feel welcome. Def recommend to anyone who is looking for a charter in south east LA.

If you were looking for a perfect charter this is about as close as it gets. First off, the captain is a really great guy. However, if you don’t catch fish, even a great captain won’t make up for that. However that’s not the case here. In a short half day trip, Captain Mike put us on the fish almost immediately. Other boats came and went without success, but we continued to pull in fish after fish. Not only that, Captain Mike was really patient and helpful instructing my kids how to cast, set and land all the fish. The best quote of the day came from my son when he said, “Dad, I’m gonna stop fishing now, we’ve caught so many fish and I’m tired.” We all had a blast!
