This was the perfect trip for me.  I prefer to catch many fish over 3-4 hours rather than travel far out into the water and risk not catching anything or catching 1 or 2 larger fish.  I also like that it was a private charter, so I was the only fisherman with the Captain and his Mate, Alex assisting.  Dmitry also caught a few fish and gave them to me at the end of the trip.  Nice guys, who know where to find the structure a few miles off shore to put you on the fish.  The only warning I will give (and it’s nothing against the Captain or the charter) is that the waters a few miles off Punta Cana can be very choppy and the wave fairly large.  That’s because the Caribbean and the Atlantic collide into the Strait that stretches from Punta Cana to Puerto Rico.  I learned all this on the trip.  I advise anyone who has a remote chance of being seasick to take Dramamine or something to mitigate seasickness.  Overall, a great morning, with a good many tasty fish we had the restaurant fry up for us at lunch that day.  Yum!

Captain Alex was wonderful and knowledgeable of the waters. A1 communication and extremely helpful with arranging transportation.

The swells were pretty bad when we went but our captain did a great job of handling the boat and getting us on the fish. Great time!!

Alex is a fantastic guide! The boat was clean and an easy ride in ocean water. Alex taught successful fishing techniques and we were excited to catch several fish. He also provided great stories and historic insights on the development and the culture of the DR. We loved it!

Alex is a great guy and great Captain. We really enjoyed getting to know Alex and our time we spent on the ocean with him.  Great views and great fishing!!  Caught the biggest thing we have ever landed on a boat.  Hope Captain Alex’s daughter enjoys it!!!
