Captain Mike was recommended from my sister who had a great experience in the spring. When I looked to booking a charter, most everything was booked out until September or too expensive for my wallet. Captain Mike was great guide and just an overall good guy in general. He called before our trip to say the fishing was really slow over the last couple weeks and we said the weatherโs going to cooperate and rolled the dice anyhow and went out. We came up short of our hopes but thatโs why itโs called fishing and not catching. Weโll go back again next year at a better time in the season and weโll have some better luck Iโm sure.

Our family of admittedly novice fishermen had a wonderfully memorable excursion with Capt. Mike and his 1st mate Brian, who made us feel comfortable throughout the voyage, and were exceedingly friendly, witty and engaging.ย Despite being early in the season, the Irish Eyes Captain and crew showed their knowledge and professionalism by taking us right to where the fish were biting, walking us through the process of setting up the rigs, and ensuring that we each had multiple opportunities to enjoy the thrill of bringing in sizable Lake Erie walleye.

Captain Mike is GREAT!!!! I have a younger son who JUST wants to catch and we did just that. Captain Mike definitely knows his stuff, wants you to have a great time, and best of all he says you can help as much as you want or just hang out and relax. We really enjoyed our time out on the water.ย I would highly recommend Irish Eyes fishing to anyone.ย Captain Mike was well prepared and put us right onto the bite.ย We were catching fish within 5 minutes and caught our limit in just under 2 hours.ย We even threw some back to try for bigger fish!ย We will be booking another trip for sure!!
