Buddy and I went fishing while our wives went to Universal. We had a great time fishing, and talking with Capt. Owen. We were able to see multiple local species to include 6 manatees.
Captain Owen was amazing. He was honest with us about fishing conditions, and he encouraged us to reschedule. We did, and it was the best trip ever! Waking up early was worth it to catch a 41โ striper!!! I learned how to cast, and my son got so much better at casting while having the absolute best time. We will be back, definitely!
Although our trip landed on a day with less than ideal weather captain Owen still made the best of it. Took us to a spot where the sun was still shining and the water was calm and took care of us like family. We got some good fish and one to take home too. Captain Owen is super friendly, knowledgeable and fair. Highly recommend.
Owen did a great job of communicating as weather changed. He was extremely patient and helpful with my 11 year old son. Very knowledgeable.
We met up at the Publix in Key Largo, followed him a short distance to the boat. We were on the Atlantic side of the highway in amongst the mangroves. The boat was perfect for the 3 of us, grandfather, son-in-law and grandson , Captain Owen and his mate Troy. We were welcomed aboard and off fishing in minutes. The day was spectacular. The weather was absolutely perfect, no wind, 78 degrees, gorgeous blue sky. The main purpose of our trip, as I explained to the Captain in our correspondence, was to make sure my grandson caught fish. And they did! He caught snappers, grunt fish, and a couple of other species that escape me, but he caught 8 or 9 fish during the course of our trip. I caught fish, Carl caught fish, all in all it was a blast. My 7 year old grandson is an environmentalist so it was strictly catch and release. The captain and Troy were fantastic. I canโt say enough about their courtesy, professionalism, and knowledge. I thought the trip was more than worth the price of admission. I certainly recommend them to you, and Iโll be booking with Captain Owen next time I head down to the Keys.
