Our two O’hana families had the most amazing magical 8 hours on the Ewa Kai!  Fishing for 3 hours then swimming jumping of bow and sides into clear turquoise water for 4 hours.  Porpoises graced us with their playfulness in the water.  The crew was so engaging especially Nicole.  She checked on us often offering water or soda.  Even tho we did not catch fish it was exciting trying.  The porpoises appearing made up for it.  The peppermint cold wash rags on our necks while heading back to harbor were heavenly.

Our family went out with Captain Andy, Lucas, Nicole, and Michael and had an amazing time! They were very professional and kind to our young kids. They taught us a lot about deep sea fishing and let the kids soak in the hot tub on the back of their boat. It was great trip, despite not catching any classic deep sea fish this time out. We knew that is always a possibility, but they did connect us with another boat in their company to do near shore fishing for the kids to try again and catch more. Thank you to the entire crew for accommodating our family! We had a great time. The yacht is beautiful and spacious, and we would go out with these guys again in the future!

We had the most perfect trip deep sea fishing for the first time.  We booked the 6am slot, 4 hour private charter for 7 of us. The weather was absolutely beautiful and the yacht was luxurious and clean.  There is a small, clean bathroom, large indoor sofa/sitting area, upper sitting area with comfortable padded bench type seating around the edges, and complimentary drinks.  Parts of the trip out were a little choppy but we took Dramamine an hour beforehand and did fine for the most part.  My daughter got sick but was well taken care of and she felt better soon enough.  We didn’t expect anything, although we of course hoped for a catch.  Captain Jamie and co-captain pup Solice, Lucas, and Savannah are all very kind, friendly and knowledgeable.  We enjoyed our time on the boat talking with them and taking in all the beauty of the ocean.  We ended up catching a ~20 lb Mahi Mahi (that we split with the crew and made into fabulous fish tacos back at our condo) and a -180 lb Marlin (that we released).  Back at the dock, we saw a sea turtle swimming right next to the yacht!  We were SO very lucky to have had this experience and can’t thank the crew enough for keeping us safe and creating a
wonderfully memorable trip!  Although not every trip out results in a catch or more, you won’t know until you go!  We’d recommend this yacht to anyone willing to try a new adventure.  They are very communicative and answered every question promptly.  Please make sure to read all instructions and make sure to book the Iwa Kai with Ohana Yachts (NOT to be confused with Ohana sports fishing or fun fishing).  I believe the Iwa Kai is the only charter that allows up to 12 people in your group.  All the other boats are 6 people max based on my research.  If you have 6 people or less in your group and looking to book a private charter, spend the little extra to get the Iwa Kai booked!  It was so much more comfortable and smooth (relatively) to be out on this well built 74’ (?) yacht.  Thank you again to Jamie, Solice, Lucas, and Savannah - you guys are top notch!!  Mahalo!

We had an unforgettable fishing charter with Ohana Yachts! The experience was nothing short of amazing. We caught a massive marlin while trolling, which was the highlight of the trip, and while bottom fishing, we reeled in some more fish. The crew was absolutely incredible—knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to every detail.

The yacht itself was beautiful and well-maintained, with plenty of space for everyone to relax. The kids especially loved the hot tub, which added a fun and unique touch to the adventure. This was truly a trip to remember, and we can’t wait to book with Ohana Yachts again! Highly recommend! 🎣🛥️

This was such an enjoyable experience for our whole family, which included our 3 boys ages 6, 8, and 9. We did a 6 hour trip, and it felt like the perfect amount of time. The boat was spacious, clean, and well equipped.  The crew were both knowledgeable and very attentive to us all. We saw whales, birds, and even caught a tuna! Luckily, the weather was amazing so the waters were calmer than usual and the sky was breathtaking.  Leaving the pier in Honolulu is so beautiful, becoming the backdrop of your sea excursion. I would highly recommend this charter. A+ service and experience!
