We had a fabulous day of fishing! Three species were caught: Mahi-mahi, Ono, and Yellow fin. All participants caught at least one fish, and most caught multiple fish. Nick and crew were were very responsive and knowledgeable, in addition to telling some great stories!

Waikiki Sportfishing Ala Moana Boulevard 1065 Honolulu United States 96814 did not tell me did not tell me I needed to go to a different slip. Did not even get a call and when I called at 6:45 I got an answering machine. He didn’t call me back until 12:45 in the afternoon. The boat that I was supposed to go on has been dry docked for the last two months .it’s not like this is something that just happened, he could’ve told me in advance so I could’ve made an intelligent decision whether I wanted to go on another boat or not.
The guy that he put us with and his mate I’ve only been chartering for two months, I’m sure I would’ve chosen someone with a much more experience for the amount of money that I spent on this trip

The Captain and the mate did not show their experience of doing charters. Within the first five minutes the captain was forecasting a no fish trip. It turned out to be a skunk trip.  But there was hardly any effort to try and make this trip fun. There was hardly any interaction between the crew and us.  I have taken plenty of charters in my time, even some where no fish was caught.  What made those trips great was the fact that the crew was always involved with the clients. This crew did not. The trip was the most boring fishing trip ever. The captain only wanted to troll. I’m sure there are other methods to fishing in these waters that could have higher quality participation with the clients. My girlfriend did ask if we can fish using live bait?  He responded with it would take too much time on a 6 hour trip. It was so boring that most of us slept. I normally tip the crew but in this instance I did not. I felt the lack of interaction was quite disturbing.  We never had a chance to touch the equipment. I was feeling bad about not tipping but as we were leaving the crew mate yells out to the captain “a big fat zero!”, totally unprofessional. The mate spent most of her time with the captain keeping him entertained.  I hope he tips her well.
