Captain Mike was professional and fun.ย He has a beautiful new 33ft boat and he did everything he could to make our trip successful.ย We caught our limit of rock fish within an hour.ย He even had his wife come and get a couple of us that had gotten sick at a closer port and drove us back to Winchester bay.ย Afterward he filleted all the fish. Thanks again Mike, I would highly recommend.
Would have liked to get a Coho keeper but the one I caught was a native. I think the drop in barometric pressure caused the drop in the bite. However Captain Mike put us on some great long line rock fish fishing and we all limited out. Multiple 3 fish per line were caught. My arm is going to feel it in the morning. Great job Captain. I plan to get at least one Chinook and a tuna trip in with you this season
Captain Dave, with Ocean Observation was fabulous. It was a day when there were not a lot of fish to be had, but he was able to get my two kids, (10 & 14) hooked up with crab and Perch. He let the kids stir the boat to help them enjoy the experience that much more. I can only hope we get back sooner than later.
First thing, Capt. Dave was great and his boat was very good. Only problem and it might not be for most but we never touched and fish or crab. I personally didnโt know what to expect when fishing for rock fish in that Iโm on the west coast and havenโt been deep sea fishing in a lot of years. The major problem was after we caught our limits it was still early and Capt. Dave ask if we wanted crab and of course all of us said yes. Both me and the friend I was fishing thought it was part of the trip and were expecting to do some crabbing. That wasnโt the case Dave took us to a spot pulled up cages, and removed the needed number of crab, never telling us that there going to cost us extra. We ended up being asked to pay an addition, $98.00 for the crab. We probable would of still gotten the crab but it seemed wrong not to tell us that that wasnโt part of the experience we had booked. As a side note, we did still tip him $70.00.

Iโm sorry for you feeling this way,, if you wanted to take your fish off your hook and bleed them and put them in the box,, you could of asked and I would of been happy to let you,, as for the crab,, each is a separate charge and none of the trips include crabbing and sorry for the misunderstanding,, and I apologize for not mentioning the charge of $50 for a limit of crab,,
