Took my kids down to Port A for some off-shore fishing for spring break. Local charter cancelled multiple times due to off-shore weather. Granted, the wind was 20+ every day, it rained every day, and the rip tide was rrrripping!! Did t get over 70 degrees. I FINALLY took a chance on a guide and found Kevin Kolojaco. He was first call and we got really lucky. Told him the kids were disappointed in our trip over the cancellations and he said we could give it a shot. We did - and got ran off the water by a storm about 45 mins in. We ate some brkfst, waited it out and hit the water. Slow going but he tried hard to put us on fish. The tide started changing. My 12 yr old Son caught a monster Bull Red. After that he kept poking around until he put us on fish and the three of us limited out on Sheepshead. The wind picked back up and he was fighting the waves to keep us on the fish, one right after the other. Overal we had a good mix of what we caught. He was very good with my Son and 16 yr old daughter. I believe we’ve made a friend and would definitely recommend him to anybody else.

My 7 1/2 yr old son wanted to catch a shark as any 7 yr old would request!  But after some time looking through photos of different guides I was able to talk him down to big Bull Red’s and we both agreed Kevin/When in Rome Guide Service was what we were looking for!  And he did not disappoint.  We ended up catching 6 reds, all were 15lbs+ with one fish at 25lbs!  Kevin was great with my son which got chaotic when he had his first big Redfish on the line.  Kevin kept things calm and taught him how to fight and real in a big fish!  On his last fish he needed little assistance to get a 20lber in the boat!  I highly recommend Kevin if you’re wanting to take kids fishing or trophy Bull Redfish! Thank you Kevin for a trip my son will never forget!
