Typical time of year, fishing was slow but the deck hand - Drew was helpful & knowledgeable which was a welcome to enhance the fishing.  The captain did place us on fish just needed to proper sized fish to fall upon the hooks which never materialized except for an unlucky shark.  But, overall it was as expected relaxing for the most part. Planning on more trips down the road.

We battled against a hungry dolphin stealing fish all day but came home with plenty and caught a giant 8ft shark along with a gag grouper and 34” trophy red snapper. Great day and perfect weather!

Had a great time on this fishing trip.  We did some trolling for a bit and ended the trip with some deep sea fishing.  While we did t catch a lot in numbers, we did pull in this massive 37” red snapper.  Captain Curtis was quick to move on from areas when we weren’t getting any bites which helped keep the trip active.  All in all a great experience and would book with Max Drag in the future.

Capt. Curtis knows his stuff. The Max Drag crew reputation is second to none. They are well respected in these waters. They’re so good, they can practically call your catch with every cast. They do not disappoint.

Rough start to the day with some boat steering trouble but finished off strong and pulled in some nice red snapper. Wonderful fist mate, Drew, who really helped make the trip a success. Dolphins hanging around ready to steal our catch but Drew was able to get all fish on board before the dolphins could get to them.
