Captain D made this Fatherโs Day surprise a memorable one! He was very helpful with instructing the beginner fisherman (2 children under 10 years old) how to fish and boat safety. D was knowledgeable of where to catch the best fish and had great convo to add to the experience!
Good news is the 3 of us caught five 3-5lb rock fish. He was very affable and good with the two 12 y/o boys.
Not so good news is we spent most of our time getting to the bay bridge and back, where we fished.ย Then spent over half of that time positioning the boat. Maybe the boat was too big for that. When we got back in the Captain starting complaining about how tired he was as he had done an earlier charter that day and was without a first mate. Also he reluctantly cleaned only 3 of our fish.

Hello Darrell. Itโs unfortunate you did not enjoy anything about your trip and there was not a mate on-board accommodate your fish cleaning for your trip. Fish cleaning is generally included with the %20 tip for the crew.ย I followed your request to clean a couple for dinner.ย I did as you asked.ย Also mother nature generates the winds and tides to affect the ideal anchoring situation.
