Thanks Federico! It was a really good day considering the sea forecast yesterday!
Thanks Matt! Hope you had a safe trip home and we will see you all soon!!
Helpful crew! We caught many fish, but the first couple of hours we had to take turns as we trolled. Then when we got to the area where we all got to fish, we drifted instead of anchoring so we had to keep resetting. It was a good trip overall. PS They do not have a real toilet as advertised.
Hi Gearge. I have fixed the actual type of toilet that we have on board as it is a portable camp toilet that is seated in the privacy of the cuddy. I apologize for any confusion that there was as for me, I consider it a toilet due to the fact that i was raised a “redneck”. I see your point and have further explained it on our description. I am glad that you guys had a good trip and hope to see you again. Rodney
The half day or 5 hrs is not worth it. We left the peir at 7:20 am and we wasted time boating around looking for spot. Only to fish close to shore. We were catching Cat fish mainly and some small sharks. I don’t think you can called deep sea fishing when you are actually fishing 300yrds from shore line and we stopped fishing at 11:30 we were off the boat by noon. The fishing trip should have been 5hrs not 3.25 hrs. Very disappointed.
We hate to hear that you didn’t enjoy your charter. We are strong believers that enjoyment and expectation are directly correlated, and hope that reviews offer a better explanation of how things work.
The 5 hour charter is not a deep sea charter. It is advertised as a nearshore, state water trip, that fishes for what is biting at the time. A nearshore charter fishes anywhere inside 9 miles of the shore that fish are biting. That might mean 9 miles out, or 300 yards out. Our Captains know that you are there to catch fish and they take you to where something is able to be caught. ***To potential customers reading this review, if you are wanting to fish for a particular species of fish, or want to take an offshore trip (a.k.a deep sea, federal water, blue water) do not book this 5 hour charter. A charter like that requires a minimum of 8 hours***
We definitely have an opportunity to improve in one area that you mentioned - leaving the dock on time. The problem that caused your boat to leave late has been rectified. Point taken seriously, and we have made a change to improve in that area. However, one thing we should address about time is this… all charters include travel time. This means that time is counted from when you leave the dock until you return. We aren’t the only charter that practices this. One important thing about these 5 hour charters is that sometimes the anglers limit out on what they can catch. If this happens, and the group doesn’t want to catch and release, the boat comes back in a little early. Your charter came in exactly on time. There wasn’t much else that you could have caught in that 20 additional minutes that we could have given you.
Again, we never want a customer to be disappointed. It sounds like your group may have been happier on a longer charter, and one that you could target specific fish. We hope that your next charter is exactly what you want it to be!
