Our goal with the game fish trip was to get into the big ones, ideally a sailfish, with more quality than quantity. The all-Thai crew led by Capt Dan worked hard and were terrific. They fixed an amazing lunch, especially considering the tiny galley. The boat and equipment were in excellent shape and the crew efficient in getting everything set up. By midafternoon we landed a very nice sailfish and more were jumping in the area. Captain Alexey was very responsive to my queries and the trip ran on time with a solid eight hours of fishing.

Highly recommended! From the first contact Alexey was responsive, communicative and helpful. He set up the trip but there are locals piloting the boat and serving as first mate, and it all works out smoothly. I love offshore fishing and wanted to catch some fish while on our family trip to Phuket. This was a first time trolling trip for my wife and my children ages 7, 5, and 2. They arranged pickup from our hotel to Chalong pier. The boat is spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. There was a cooler full of soft drinks and bottled water. The kids enjoyed exploring the boat. We all enjoyed the amazing views and the breeze while relaxing on the shaded upper deck. Later when the kids were tired they had naps in the comfy lower cabin. We trolled out to Racha Yai island and caught 6 skipjack tuna and my kids took turns helping to reel them in. The crew made an amazing lunch for us with sashimi and all kinds of delicious local food. We pulled into a sheltered bay and had a great time snorkeling surrounded by myriad reef fish. The crew was friendly, helpful and flexible. I think normally the trip includes more time trolling in the afternoon, but I requested to let the kids snorkel longer as they were having so much fun and I wanted to make sure they loved their first boat trip. (Personally, I would have liked more fishing time, but sometimes dads need to sacrifice, haha) In any case they gave us a little over 8 hours on the boat and were eager to accommodate our family’s requests. They asked if we wanted the fish, but I did not know what we would do with six tuna at our hotel so I asked if they would clean one and slice it up into sashimi for us to take with us and they were happy to oblige. They even gave us soy sauce and wasabi to take with us. Great memories and I would book with Alexey and his crew again!

We were a party of 6, 3 adults and 3 kids. Crews (2 Thais) were kind and professional. We did trolling with 5 different rods, and got 5 bonitos in the going and one Mahi-mahi in the returning. In the returning, we hit a marlin tuna seeing its fin coming up above the water, while unfortunately it bit the bite off and gone. We also did bottom fishing, getting more than 20 groupas and various other fishes. For lunch, we anchored offshore of the island and had sashimi and fries of fishes we caught. We could dive into the sea from the vessel. Totally enjoyed from the morning till evening. Recommended!

After having mixed outcomes from various join-in Phuket fishing trips taken in the past year and then experiencing an excellent outing on another private booking from a different tour operator, I wasn’t sure what to expect as we steamed out from Chalong pier towards the Racha Islands.  Boy, were we pleasantly surprised when this outstanding full day of fishing with Beluga Fishing Tours exceeded all expectations!

I don’t know what could’ve made this reasonably priced private charter any better (other than maybe getting it for free, along with dancing girls?  LOL!), as all aspects of what makes for an enjoyable, hassle-free trip were easily met.  Pre-arranged hotel pickup was on time; personal attention from the boat crew (of course there were only 2 of us that day); conscientious, hard-working skipper & guide who put us right in the midst of school after school of tuna; delicious lunch prepared onboard; and timely return to port as the sea kicked up in the mid-afternoon.

We must’ve had 2½ to 3 hours of nonstop action as we were pulling in fish left & right, often with doubles and triples on the line – and twice nailed quads!  At day’s end our final count totaled 46 tunas, including skipjacks, blackfins and yellowfins.  Thank you, Capt.
