This trip was a gift for our nephew. He had a great time. One fish gave him a fight and he was thrilled to have finally caught it. He learned a lot about fishing from a moving boat, line tension and gave directions on how to reel in the fighting fish. Per our nephew “Great guy. 5 stars. Would go fishing with him again!”

Capt Rob Manhardt is a very knowledgeable mariner and fishing guide, highly recommend him, and thats coming from someone who has fished Salmon, Halibut etc in Alaska and British Columbia for over 14 years..  Rob knows his area and knows where the fish are, if you don’t get any fish it’s not because of capt Rob or his boat.  You should look no further when looking for a great fishing experience on Lake Michigan

I would greatly recommend Manhardt Charters! Caption Rob is a true “Water Rat”. I mean that in the most respectful way. He lives the Big Lake. He’s a very personable guy with a very nice boat. You can’t go wrong with Captain Rob.

We took our 2 teenagers on a trip with Captain Rob. Fishing had been really slow. Rob gave us the option of canceling. We wanted to go anyway. We caught 3 fish on our 3 hour charter and we’re happy with that. We had a great time. Captain Rob was great. The time spent on the boat was awesome. It was a beautiful day!

We had an excellent time that exceeded our expectations!  Everyone in our group had a great time.  We made memories that will last a lifetime.  The Captain and First Mate were very knowledgeable and helpful and went out of their way for us.
