Captain Pete and Matty were excellent and fun leaders of this trip. Really enjoyed the explanations of why we were fishing where we were, the kind of bait we used, how fish behave… they are smart, funny and were really committed to us having a great time! Mission Accomplished! We did catch 4 huge mahi while all the other boats in the area reported no catches. Captain Pete cleaned our fish exquisitely too…perfect for the ceviche we are now enjoying. We feel very blessed to have these fishing gurus as our guides, and will definitely only book with them the next time we come to Puerto Rico.

Captain Pepe and Manny were the best! He explained everything we needed to know in great detail, handled the boat excellently, manny was always there rebaiting the lines and keeping everything going smoothly.  We caught a nice size mahi-mahi which Pepe cleaned perfectly (no bones!) and which ended up being an excellent main course that night for 8 people! We also had - a few more hits which, while they got away, added to the whole experience.  After all, it’s called “fishing” not “catching”.  When we return, we’ll def be heading back out with Blue Water!  Highly recommend!

What an amazing trip my family and I had with Captain Pepé and First Mate Manny. It was a fast trip to the 100-1000 drop off and Manny hooked us up with premium gear and started trolling quickly. While the seas were rough our spirits were high and before we knew it we hooked up on our first fish of the day. Manny did a great job making sure the fish would not come off, and actually let you reel the fish in unlike other fishing charters! Many other fish were caught later that evening, for example, Mahi Mahi, Bonito, and last but not least, a Sail Fish! All in all, a great day on the water in San Juan, and lastly to make it better, with Captain Pepé and First Mate Manny. Complimentary drinks are included. Very fun day and we will be returning my our business when we get a chance.

From someone who takes trips frequently, targeting big fish,  I highly recommend.  The captain communicated as soon as I booked answering any questions.  He also reached out a couple days before. The weather started out horrible, I was late but the Captain was extremely positive.  I noticed bad reviews before taking this trip but also know it’s fishing and not catching.  Anytime you book a trip especially targeting large fish, keep in mind that you are booking a boat ride in hopes to land just one of those “dream” fish.  The captain did everything he could to try to find fish.  The deckhand stayed very busy.  He was very tentative to our needs.  The boat was set up for fishing.  The bathroom serves its purpose.  I began feeling a little nauseas.  The bed in the cabin was a big help.  These guys efforts on a day that shouldn’t have been good, paid off.  We ended up landing a sailfish, wahoo, a couple barracuda, several large mahi, several tuna and a shark.  When I return, I will be using Blue Water fishing charters again.  You can’t go wrong.  Its never a bad trip with good company but the catching part was a huge bonus.

We had an incredible day out on the water with our family, and it was made even more special by catching a yellowfin tuna! The captain and crew were exceptional—very knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to our needs. They made sure we were all involved in the fishing process, especially my kids, who had a fantastic time learning and reeling in the catch.

The entire experience was well-organized and fun, making it the perfect family outing. I highly recommend this charter for anyone looking to create lasting memories while enjoying a day of fishing. We can’t wait to return for another adventure!
