The boat is spacious and clean, first of all.  If you are looking for a fishing charter, this might not be your boat, though.  I have chartered many boats over the last decade or so and my family and I have caught many, many species of fish.  I know the area off Punta Cana is considered great for fishing and very good during the time of our visit.  We caught two very small fish, one an amberjack and the other, we thought, was a rockfish of some sort.  Not a lot of variety of bait, just basically trolled and spin cast while anchored.  Equipment was just OK, but not the best quality.  Anchored in very choppy waters on a nice day with some fairly calm waters near us and two of my sons got motion sickness while trying to fish.  One of them was worse than the other.  Captain and crew were nice, but we never discussed any fishing plan, just began by trolling in the marina and eventually worked our way out to the sea after a while.  Food was Tostito’s and a jar of salsa and a jar of queso.  Were not enough sandwiches, but there was plenty of beer and water.  Just seemed like we were on a route of some sort and not going to any fishing spots that might have been saved in a GPS.  Usually fishing charter captains will communicate with other captains to see where the fish are.  We didn’t have that.  If you want to cruise around the Caribbean Sea, do a little snorkeling and swim, this would be a good boat for you.  If your primary purpose for charting is fishing, it probably is not the one.

Had a great time on the Rich and Famous cruise.  The captain and mate were very knowledgable and accomodating.  The captain put us on fish right away and even the less experienced anglers caught fish.  The non-anglers in our party of eight commented that they wished every fishing trip could be this much fun.
