January is not the best season to go fishing in Key west. Still we hooked fifteen or so fish during our 4hr trip with Jamie. Different jacks, snapper and couple barracuda, plus some fish I do not remember what they were. All with spinning gear. Most fish were caught by my teenage daughter, which was the goal.
I look fwd to hook some tarpon on the fly with Jamie when that season is on.

Jamie was very professional and helpful.  Few fish found compared to preception put out by most folks.  He was very knowledgeable of the other wildlife we encountered and able it add local history of area to go along with that.  His boat, equipment and tackle pristine and zero problems.  Great guide and I would go with him again.

Caught two tarpon on fly using 16lbs class tippet with Cpt. Jamie. Even got a face grab. For those who don’t know exactly how hard that is, trust me, we are tickling almost at impossible. This is fishing at it’s hardest and finest. We followed IGFA guidelines and worked together as a perfect team. Only a captain who truly knows what he’s doing can pull that off and Cpt. Jamie absolutely delivered.

Had a great day of fishing with Captain Jamie.  His boat is organized and he’s well-prepared for the day.  Has equipment for both fly fishing and conventional tackle.  Jamie worked hard all day and was careful to give us the best chances possible, often poling onto and off from the flats, and well around fish on range so they didnt spook.  When the bonefish weren’t around and permit were hard to reach, we switched things up and had a good time targeting Barracuda and Jack Crevalle to end the day.  Jamie is the kind of guide that doesnt have many off days, and goes fishing for fun when he does take a day off.
