I have never booked a charter before but felt 860 dollars was not cheap for the duration. I planned on a fifty dollar tip as well. To me this was sufficient and am not aware of protocol since we are a Midwestern family on vacation. The trip was fine but was sent a nasty text by the boat owner about giving his first mate a 20 percent tip and as he stated โ he worked his ass offโ. I was upset by this and it ruined the joy we had with fishing. I feel like he wants the 860 dollars for himself and my tip is the salary for his 1st mate . I would not have booked if I would have known this!

We trolled at first got some King mackerel and the went bottom fishing and trolled on the way back in perfect fishing thanks for a wonderful morning
