Caleb was great in every way. We caught some salmon, but Calebโs overall attitude was great. My family isnโt experienced at all with fishing, but he was patient, and helped us with every aspect. Going back again next year!
Thanks Steve appreciate you guys coming along for the day. Enjoyed having you and your family on the boat and glad you guys were able to make it down to the coast. Hope you enjoyed your ice cream after fishing! Enjoy all the fish.
Capt Caleb was a fantastic guide. The day started with a big salmon on in the first 10 minutes but it broke off by the boat. Things went quiet from there until the laaaaast trolling pass and literally reel-up when this big one hit my line. Capt Caleb knew the waters well, had great gear, was fun to talk with, and Iโd highly recommend him to others!
Caleb thatโs for coming along. It was great to have you guys on board. Hopefully we can do it again in the future. Enjoy your travels.
When sickness put our scheduled skipper out of commission at the last minute, Zach Shirly pulled together a last minute perfect charter. He is very personable and fishing wise. The three of us were limited out after three hours out. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone!
Caleb was absolutely fantastic. Very knowledgeable and a great teacher. He was easy to talk to and very helpful. I would highly recommend his guide service to anyone who wants to catch fish.
Carolyn thanks so much for coming along yesterday. What a fun day on the water. Hope you all enjoy the rest of your time here in the Oregon coast.
Our first Salmon trip. Didnโt know what to expect and was honestly very concerned about getting skunked. But Caleb was a total Pro and patiently guided us to various spots out on the water between St. Maryโs Church and Megler Bridge. Hooked up on some nice ones.
After Caleb filleted the fish for us, we had the cuts vac-sealed and then packed on ice for the drive back to Portland. To get them home, we bought some dry ice and these great little green coolers by Coleman at Fred Meyer. We were able to check it as luggage for the 4-hour flight.
NOTE: Save those Salmon Collars folks. Delicious eating. Go to any Japanese restaurant and they will charge you $20 or more bucks for themโฆgrilled to perfection and perfect with Beer! I noticed many people tossing the heads away with collars intact!
