Did not understand that we would be trawling for fish. Wanted to have the family throw a line over the side and hope to catch something. This was my fault for not investigating ahead of time.

However, the captain and first mate barely spoke the entire trip! While they sat upstairs, we sat downstairs looking around and riding along doing nothing. Zack even took a nap! At least some interaction would’ve made up for not catching any fish - which can always happen.

The listing also mentioned sandwiches, but we disembarked hungry and fishless.

The guys were persistent and alert until the end of the day to get the fish I wanted.

We had a fun trip. Captain Humberto and and his mate Tony were friendly, efficient and experienced. The seas were a bit rough but we still managed to get a tuna but not much else. Still a great day was had by all out on the water!

First charter I’ve ever been on where the boat was not ready upon arrival. Arrived at 7:55 and he arrived at 8. Once onboard we still had to stop and fill up with diesel, get ice, and bait. Pulling out of the marina the first hand got the rope stuck in the prop and spent a little time getting it untangled. Was stated we would be doing some trolling and then some drop fishing. We ended up just trolling for 6 hours with no luck. The captain and crew was also very impersonal. The captain spoke to us while boarding briefly. Then was up top driving the whole time while the first hand sat up there with him most of the time only coming down to change the bait every 2 hours or so. Once arriving back at the marina directly at 2 (so no extra time for the delay) and docking he came down and said “well no fish today sorry” then provided info for payment and once received didn’t speak again as we gathered our stuff to leave. I have been on plenty of charters but this is by far the worst I’ve ever been on.
