The Captain John and his firstmate Mike made our first Shark fishing experience one we will never forget. They explained everything we needed to do to be successful when reeling. My husband knows how to fish and didn’t need much guidance but I was a bit more challenging and poor Mike got stuck with me. Although I reeled backwards and got the line twisted because I reeled it up too far a few times he was very patient and got the rod ready for the next cast. I eventually got the hang of it but only because he was gracious and patient. We did catch some smaller sharks and kept one to eat. Although the sharks weren’t huge, the experience was. If you can’t have fun with these guys it’s your own fault. We will definitely book with them for shark or any other fishing charter they do

We booked a 3 hour night shark fishing trip. Captain John stayed in contact with me and advised a better time for the tide to better our chances of catching a shark. The 1st bite we got was something massive, as it chewed through a 60 lb lead leader line. In a short time we got another bite which we were unable to land and then landed 2 sharp nose sharks back to back. Had a few more hits but we’re unable to land them. When we returned, Captain John’s deck hand cleaned and cut our shark up for us into steaks to take home and the Jaw of teeth as well. We had a great time. It was myself, my son, and fiance. We had the best time and we will be back for another fishing trip with Captain John. And we enjoyed his deck hand equally as much.  They were both fun to be around and we did what we set out to do. We caught shark.

I’ve been on a handful of charters over the years and this was hands down the best.  I cannot tell you how accommodating and cool our captain and deckhand were.  Great guys.  We caught our limit of red snapper, and even caught a big wahoo.  I cannot tell you how much myself, my friends, and our kids enjoyed this trip.  If I could leave them 6 stars I gladly would.

My son, daughter and I took a half day afternoon trip (March 2023).  We had a blast trolling for Spanish Mackerel with a stop to fish for Redfish late in the trip. The Spanish bite was a bit slow but Captain John John and Wade worked hard to dial in the setup and successfully put us on fish. We took the filets to J Michael’s (restaurant)  in PBC who did an awesome job with the fish.  We are already talking about returning in the summer for snapper season.
