We booked our trip originally for taneycomo trout, but our guide suggested we do table rock for walleye after we mentioned walleye as well. Trout has been a little slow to bite and we took his suggestion happily to catch as much as possible. We were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday, and he was hoping to catch dinner. This proved very fruitful. We booked our trip for 2pm but arrived a little early to subscreen and prepare, and so did Spencer. This made it so our first catch, happened right at 2pm. By our actual booked time, 2/3 of us had big ol bass on the line at the same time! It felt like birthday magic!! We continued to pull in a couple of walleye, some more bass, a blue gill, and a catfish. Ironically, right after us discussing probably not catching a catfish, my boyfriend ripped one out of the water. Everyone caught something while we were out. Spencer is on the lake everyday, we even saw him the day before we booked, while we paddled state marina area. Our party was 3 people, one 11 YO. Memories my 11 YO will keep for life. Thanks Spencer! We loved spending our day with you.

We caught 20+ bass in 4 hours!

Captain Spencer put us on the bass all morning! My 4 year old son, my husband, and myself caught over 20 bass with Spencer’s help. We quit counting after so many! My 4 year old was thrilled! Spencer would hook them and then let my son reel them in. He casted for us and took all the fish off the hooks for us too. He has a great boat with all the electronics and awesome rods and reels to use. This wasn’t the most scenic fishing trip (we barely left the marina to fish around all the docks), but it was definitely successful. If you’re wanting to reel them in all morning and have all the hard work done for you, Spencer is your guy!

Awesome Trip!

I had a great time! I am an experienced fisherman, and enjoyed hopping on the boat and immediately being around quality fish. Every spot we went to had loads of fish on it. The captain was working hard to keep us on top of the fish and it payed off! One part that I was very impressed by was the fact that he was putting us on fish all the way up to the last minute! My brother in law and I doubled up on really good bass with 1 minute left in the trip! Will definitely be coming back in the future!

3/4 day Table Rock Bass and Walleye on June 17, 2026 • 2 adults
We had a wonderful time catching bass and walleye. Captain Jack had an amazing fishing boat and all the gear. He put us on fish all day long. I recommend Captain Jack for your next fishing trip. He was pleasant and easy to get to know. He knows his way around Tablerock lake. Captain was aware of the daily weather and kept us on task all day. We left early and caught fish all throughout the trip. We even got to sport fish after we were maxed out with our limit.
