I have booked this trip for my husband and myself, and it was a great experience. Everything went smooth from the first inquiry through this platform to a prompt reply from captain Costas about details and arranging pickup from the hotel as well as meeting at the peer. My husband is a passionate angler but has not yet had a lot of experience with spear fishing and he had lots of fun with captain Costas explaining the techniques, fish spieces, tipps and tricks, lifehacks how to hunt bigger predators - captain shared his knowledge generousely and supported my husband with great attention and care. In less than 3 hours he caught 3 parrot-fish and almost got a lion-fish as well, but decided not to go for this one as the pressure in his ears was declining and it was more than enough fish for our lunch already. It was a very interesting and exciting introduction into the world of spear fishing and now my husband wants to get his own small gear to try it out alone on the next vacation.
I as non angler also enjoyed the time on the boat, snorkeling around the reef with views over Oia. Costas has a modern speedy boat with a comfy place to sunbathe and relax and sits under bimini; there's also a fridge full of cold beverages.
After fishing captain cleaned the fish for us and gave a call to his fellow restaurant on the red beach to arrange our catch gets grilled for us - we headed there and enjoyed our fish with sides, it was delicious. Thank you Costas, it was a great overall experience, we would come again and recommend it anytime.
