Artem arrived exactly on time at 6:00 AM and had everything perfectly prepared. Before the trip, he even asked for my shoe size so he could bring waders that fit properly. He didn’t just take me to the closest river—he drove nearly 1 hour and 40 minutes each way because he wanted us to fish one of the best locations he knows. We ended up in a beautiful mountain stream only about 25 miles from the French border. The scenery alone was worth the trip. Throughout the day, Artem shared an incredible amount of knowledge about the local fish species, their behavior, where they hold in the river, what they were feeding on, and the techniques needed to catch them. His understanding of the fishery is truly impressive. As an English-speaking visitor, I especially appreciated how well Artem speaks English. Communication was effortless, and we spent much of the day talking about fishing, travel, different species around the world, and our experiences on the water. It felt less like hiring a guide and more like spending the day fishing with a knowledgeable friend. He provided all the equipment, brought water, handled all the logistics, and made sure I had everything I needed to be comfortable and successful. We fished until around 2:00 PM, and he dropped me back off afterward. If you’re visiting Barcelona and want to experience freshwater fishing, I highly recommend booking a trip with Artem.
