Marjan the captain, speaks great english and is a very nice guy, picked up at the hotel on time, straight onto his boat then out trawling on journey to 1st fishing mark. He has very good equipment on board and is very helpful, unfortunately for us it was quite choppy at sea and the fish weren’t biting. I did manage to catch 1 small fish and Marjan caught a passing speed boat lol. Had a lovely lunch on board of which the cheese was just great. Will do it again when we come back again, hopefully in October. Got a lift back to the hotel in a lovely clean car, driver very friendly. Even though we didn’t catch much it was a good afternoon out, well done Marjan.

We booked with Captain Mike because of the good reviews and, being a lady, because there was a toilet on board. An absolute necessity for an 8 hour fishing trip! Mike picked up up from our hotel in Sipan and took us trawling straight away. We went all the way to the back of Sipan and to another island further away which was fantastic, then back round to Lopud before trawling home.
Captain Mike always made sure we were comfortable, had water or beer, sorted our bait for us, celebrated our successes and commiserated in our lost jigs (Moray eels had a lot to do with that). When we were too hot we just had to say and he’d stop to let us have a swim. When fish stopped biting he was instantly looking for a new spot to fish.
I caught two large scorpion fish and a Hook Beard, plus two Morays. None of the game fish unfortunately, but to be honest it was so hot I bet they were all sheltering in the rocky crevices below where we couldn’t reach.
It was such a lovely relaxing day. Mike was very good company, his English was perfect. Would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone who is either a novice or a pro. When we come back we will definitely be looking to do another trip with him.

Record catch!  The day was perfect,  wonderful weather,  more than a dozen fish,  wonderful snorkeling in an extraordinary cave.  Excellent treat from the Captain’s garden.  All in all,  a wonderful day and a terrific value.

Truly amazing fishing experience! Captain Marjan is great, very helpful and he took us to the best fishing spots around Dubrovnik. After the beautiful trip we prepared dinner made from our catch!

Proper local experience with amazing host! We had a half day trip and enjoyed every bit of it. Highly recclommended for anyone who wants to experience something that locals of Dubrovnik do all the time!
