Very disappointing tuna trip
I hate leaving negative reviews and usually don't (especially for independent business owners) but when you pay good money for a service, you have basic expectations... Weather wasn't the best first half of the trip so one can't expect miracles catching fish except other boats were, and they weren't far from us, so ok...Captain was great, he tried. After some time it was obvious that we weren't aggressively trying to fish (for tuna) so I wish he would have changed it up so we could have caught something, anything...First mate was another story and reason for the bad review. He gave the distinct impression that he did not want to be there or work. I don't know if he had personal problems going on but he was constantly on his phone, ignorant to the captain in front of us (embarrassing to all) and lazy on the rods. My 14 yr old worked harder, which believe me, says a lot. I could go on but won't waste any more of my time. Money not well spent and lesson learned the hard way, we'll be going elsewhere for our next trip before the season ends.
