6 hr trip with Mike and the Ocean Cat

6 Hour – Bottom/Trolling (PM)5 adults2 children

It was a heck of a trip out due to some tough water but the Captain did a great job getting us there safely. The boat was always clean and there was plenty of room for all of us. Fyi beanbag chairs are the best thing ever in rough water! We ended up catching over 30 V-line, a huge Amberjack, a couple of spades, some red snapper(couldn't keep them yet), & a couple other random species. All in all around 80+ fish caught between 5 guys. WE. WILL. BE. BACK.

    Great fishing trip!

    3/4 Day Trip – Bottom/Trolling AM • 6 adults

    The ocean was very choppy and the waves would have been too much for a smaller boat but Capt Mike’s boat handled it with no problem. There was 6 in our party and we had plenty of room. Due to his skill and tenacity we caught our limit of Red Snapper and misc other fish. Next time I go fishing I will definitely call Capt. Mike.

    Morning 6 hour Trolling/Bottom fishing trip

    3/4 Day Trip – Bottom/Trolling AM • 3 adults

    Had a great time with Captain Mike and deckhand Shane!…. Conditions were a little rough, but the Ocean Cat cut through the 3-4 ft swells like butter. It made the trip out and back quick which allowed us to maximize the time we had our hooks in the water. We targeted bigger snapper and had some success. Captain Mike definitely made sure he didn’t waste our time if the big boys weren’t at that spot, we’d pick up and move on to the next one. We landed one 20+ pounder and pulled the hook on a second one right at the boat. Of course we still came in with our boat limit of keepers. In all we probably landed around 20 fish total. We caught 3 Amberjack, a handful of triggerfish, and a bunch of legal snapper. We probably only caught 2 snapper that were under 14 inches. We also trolled for about a 1/2 hour between spots and got a nice bite! That reel was screaming, but the hook didn’t catch unfortunately. All in all, it was a great trip! We caught a lot of fish in 1/2 day with just 3 people. (One of the 3 in our party didn’t even fish much) Not only would I recommend Mike and Shane to anybody looking for a trip, but I look forward to fishing again with them next time we are in town!

    Half -day trip with Mike and Shane

    3/4 Day Trip – Bottom/Trolling AM • 5 adults

    This was the first charter trip for our family, and from the moment we met Mike and Shane on the dock we felt very comfortable. It was a cold and rough day, but Mike still got us to several fishing spots and we all had a great time. He even loaned his jacket to my daughter-in-law who was not expecting it to be so cold that morning.Shane was also very helpful for us “newbies”, and kept us loaded up with bait. The boat was just the right size for our group, very clean, and fast. I would highly recommend Captain Mike and Ocean Cat Charters to anyone looking for a great fishing charter experience!

    4 Hour Trip – Trolling (PM) • 6 adults

    Capt Mike and his deck hand Shane were awesome. Capt Mike put us on the fish and Shane was quick to handle what you caught and kept our hooks baited. This was the first time off shore for 4 of the 6 in our group, including two 14year olds, but after the trip on the Ocean Cat it will not be their last. If you are anywhere near Orange Beach and are considering trip off shore to fish, I highly recommend you give Capt Mike and the Ocean Cat a try. Thanks again to Capt Mike and Shane!!

    Great Experience ?

    4 Hour Trip – Trolling (AM) • 2 adults

    My son in law and I had a great time. Captain Mike had us on fish as soon as we were out of the channel into the main ocean. We caught Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, hard tails, Amber Jack (catch and release due to season), and another type I forget the name. Either way, it was a very good outing and Shane, 1st mate was prompt and kept our lines baited. Later he fileted our keepers. Thanks Captain Mike and Shane.
