We left at 645 am. 1st we went to catch live bait. This took until 9am. Our goal was to put fish in the freezer. Caught mostly king fish and bonita which to us is not fish we would eat. We then decided to go for some mahi mahi. In 2 hours we caught four for the freezer. Good sized, however the last 3 hours we did not catch any fish. I must say they fish different down here where reef and wreck is trolling, not sure the hook ever reaches the bottom. We did see other boats bring in some nice catches along with some grouper. What happened to bottom fishing with squid? Not so sure I agree with paying for 2 plus hours catching live bait before we fish. Makes one wonder what would happen if we didn't catch any!!!!

    Offshore with Captain Paul!

    Went out with Captain Paul and first mate Micah and had a great day fishing. Was pretty choppy so fish weren't biting like we wanted, but my son landed a nice Almacore Jack which we ate a couple nights later for dinner at our condo (delish!) and I hauled in a nice barracuda. Great hustle by Micah! Was a great time regardless of the fishing - I'd go again next time I'm in the Keys!
