Blue marlin caught 9 miles off the coast, this fish is always released, unfortunately it died and was donated to social solidarity institutions

Do you know those times when it is with a bittersweet taste in the mouth ??? We are still digesting the situation of the last week with a marlin captured by our friend Tom Ricci. In our attempt to preserve the species we practiced the usual "catch & release" so far everything is normal ... only that this release treated is a large white marlin copy (the identification was not easy) because we judge to be a small blue marlin of about 100 kg ( 220 pond ),we really find it strange appear a blue marlin this time of year around here, but nature never ceases to amaze us ... The surprise of the trip started as soon 20 min. after being at sea with a spearfish on the lines ... barely knew us that 10 min. after the capture of rare and beautiful spearfish would catch this !!! It is certainly the largest white marlin caught in the Azores so far, and" off record " was confided to us that possibly we had in hand a world record of white marlin ... left us with the consolation of liberation and joy that gave the fight, as well as the doubts that will be with us for some time. Azores in its best !!!

Report **hidden content** Finally we got it !!! Yesterday was a day of action in " Rabão " sportfishing vessel , finally have on the deck, the first tuna of the season ...not very high weight (40 kg) but motivated us exponentially , the season ahead promises to be a great !!! For the first time our friend Kiall felt the rush of pulling a tuna, was amazed with the strength of the fish and also with the ease of just 1 \ 2 fishing day be lucky enough to capture ... ... All this action was discussed around the table of the Baía dos Anjos , tasting the tuna in a very lively dinner,our friend Kiall was presented by Skipper Carlos Linhares with the certificate, getting us the promise of another visit from them in the near future.

Yesterday well could have done a film sketch on board of " Rabão " sportfishing vessel , since we have actors, producers ,Cameraman's , accredited barman's and also a friendly professional tattoo artist ... !!! The main actors were some very good atlantic Bonito´s and some barracudas ... for sure they put the physical condition of our friends on proof . The record of the day belonged to sympathic Melanie that raised the bar to a mighty 4.100 kg of Atlantic Bonito !!! It was later tasted at Baía dos Anjos restaurant some of the fish caught doing these the delights of our friends. At the end of the lively lunch was time to deliver the sport fishing certificates, which are proudly raised on the photo taken with the crew of Oceantur Sportfishing Azores .

Sometimes the days could be almost perfect !!! Yesterday we had one of those days aboard the Rabão sportfishing vessel, look of joy in a parent's face seeing her radiant Soon with the capture of some good specimens on our coast, our purpose is not only firm for a great day of fishing, comfort, friendship and sympathy are constant. The day could have been more perfect at the very end, as the way to the Ponta Delgada harbour and after having seen some well-known activity in the waters we head Rabão vessel there because it could be a school of atlantico bonitos that had risen to the surface ... was much more than that in a matter of seconds one of our 30 lbs reels lose the entire line that broke with a strong flick after a bluefin tuna have sent a big bite the small lure !!! Anyway at the end of the night we all strengthened friendship with a delicious dinner on Baía dos Anjos , being delivered by Skipper Carlos Linhares to our friend Nicoló its sport fishing certificate that will be remembered for a long time the great moments he spent with his father Saverio aboard Rabão vessel .
