    (Half Day Trip – Walleye)

    Fun Trip

Slower day on the water due to weather, but we still caught a few fish. The captain was very kind, flexible, and interactive. Overall we really enjoyed the experience and recommend.

    phenomenal Labor Day trip

Labor Day can be difficult for walleye. But Brian put us on fish and we had a great day. We took home 15 nice size fish. The boat was great. Brian is very friendly talkative and personable. We will definitely be fishing with him again!

Walleye fishing is all about smart tactics and steady action. Walleye are a prized Panfish cousin with firm, mild fillets and a careful bite. Anglers target them for reliable fun, great meals, and a challenge that rewards patience and skill.

Common methods are simple and effective. Jigging, which means lifting and dropping a lure near the bottom, is a top choice. Trolling, or pulling lures behind a moving boat, covers water to find active fish. Many anglers use live bait like minnows, nightcrawlers, or leeches. Casting crankbaits and spinner rigs also works well, especially along drop-offs and weed edges at dawn, dusk, or on cloudy days.

Expect a relaxed, hands-on trip on lakes and rivers with light to medium tackle. The bite can be subtle, so your guide will help you feel the take and set the hook. This suits beginners, families, and seasoned anglers who enjoy a thoughtful approach. Dress in layers, bring polarized sunglasses to see structure, and wear non-slip shoes. Pack snacks, sun protection, and a cooler if you plan to keep fish where allowed.

Before you go, check local rules. You may need a fishing license or permit, and seasons, size limits, and daily harvest limits can apply. Regulations change by location, so review them ahead of time and follow your captain’s guidance on what is legal and responsible.
